Baton Rouge, LA - Today, U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) released his first televised advertisement of the 2026 campaign. This is a half a million dollar statewide ad buy that will begin airing immediately across broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms.
The ad, 'Tiger Stadium,' highlights one of Senator Cassidy's top accomplishments this year: getting the HALT Fentanyl Act signed into law by President Donald J. Trump to crack down on deadly fentanyl, hold traffickers accountable, and protect Louisiana families. President Trump called the legislation "one of the more important things that we will ever sign."

Transcript:
I'm Dr. Bill Cassidy. I know first hand how deadly fentanyl is.
A hundred thousand Americans die from overdose every year. Enough to fill Tiger Stadium.
I wrote the HALT Fentanyl Act to put tough new penalties on criminals who manufacture and distribute this evil drug.
President Trump said it was the most important legislation he would sign this year. It puts drug dealers in prison and saves innocent lives.
Background:
Senator Cassidy's campaign has $11 million dollars cash on hand and public reports indicate that pro-Cassidy forces will be able to deploy a combined $26 million in the coming months. The single largest spend supporting a Louisiana party primary candidate EVER. Read more from Campaign Manager, Katie Larkin here.
Senator Cassidy was joined by Leader Thune in Baton Rouge for a high-dollar fundraising event that raised $650,000+ in a single night.
