Baton Rouge, LA - U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), joined by Leader John Thune, headlined a high-dollar fundraising event in Baton Rouge that raised $650,000 in a single night, signaling strong momentum and unified Republican support ahead of the 2026 election.
The packed event drew top Republican donors and local leaders from across Louisiana, underscoring growing enthusiasm for Cassidy's proven conservative leadership and results-driven record.
Leader Thune praised Cassidy's leadership and his importance to President Trump's agenda and Senate Republicans.
"It's great to be in Louisiana to support Bill Cassidy," said Leader Thune. " As a physician and a proven conservative leader, he has led the charge on important health care reforms and helped deliver President Trump's Working Families Tax Cuts Bill, making him a cornerstone of our Senate Majority."
While in Baton Rouge, Cassidy and Thune also highlighted President Trump's Working Families Tax Cuts Bill, which lowers taxes for seniors, eliminates taxes on tips and overtime pay, and extends the child tax credit - putting more money back into the pockets of hardworking Americans and strengthening local businesses.
