Baton Rouge, LA — Liberal Letlow’s had an awful last month.
But we are hearing from a number of people that are just tuning into the Louisiana Senate primary for the first time.
Here’s a few quick bullet points to get you caught up.
Cassidy in strong position: Sen. Cassidy outraised Liberal Julia Letlow and John Fleming last quarter, and also has much more money in the bank. Sen. Cassidy is also leading in a poll released last week. Cassidy 45, Letlow 34, Fleming 21.
Letlow in weak position: The Cassidy campaign and affiliated groups have vastly outspent the Letlow campaign and its affiliated groups on television for weeks – a trend that is set to continue until Election Day. Letlow is barely on TV at all, with her first broadcast buy in more than a month coming this week and a small one at that.
Letlow’s liberal record hurting her: Liberal Julia Letlow’s record is, quite literally, liberal. Letlow referred to herself as a “progressive leader” and called for more DEI programs at University of Louisiana Monroe. Letlow has still not addressed the “progressive leader” video.
There’s more: Liberal Letlow has also been a prolific congressional stock trader and scofflaw over the years. NOTUS: Rep. Julia Letlow Violated the STOCK Act With Over 210 Late Disclosures
Clear contrast with Cassidy: Sen. Cassidy has a long list of accomplishments for Louisiana. Here’s a list from 2025 alone. In stark contrast, Rep. Letlow has spent her time in Congress trading stocks, not putting points on the board for her home state.
This week, we’ll be reintroducing Liberal Julia Letlow to folks who are just tuning in.
Plenty more to come!
