Senator Cassidy Earns Key Conservative Endorsement from State Senate Committee Chair Beth Mizell

BATON ROUGE, LA – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), announced the endorsement of Louisiana State Senator Beth Mizell, Chair of the Louisiana Legislative Women’s Caucus. Senator Mizell represents St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Washington parishes, and also serves as Chair of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Consumer Protection, and International Affairs.

Senator Mizell praised Senator Cassidy’s strong conservative record and his commitment to working with President Trump in Washington to deliver results for Louisiana.

Senator Mizell served as President Pro Tempore of the Louisiana Senate during her first term.

She currently chairs the Senate Committee on Commerce, Consumer Protection, and International Affairs, and serves on the Education; Judiciary A; Revenue and Fiscal Affairs; and Insurance (Ex Officio) Committees.

Mizell is also a member of the Joint Legislative Committee on Capital Outlay, Legislative Audit Advisory Council, Joint Select Committee on Louisiana Economic Recovery, and serves as Vice Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Women and Children.
