Baton Rouge, LA - Louisiana's Senate race has turned into a political circus as some try to distract voters from the real issue. At the end of the day, endorsements don't decide elections - Louisiana voters do.

That's why Team Cassidy is focused on making sure voters understand exactly how to participate in this year's election under Louisiana's new closed primary system.

What Voters Need to Know

Under Louisiana's new closed primary system for federal races:

  • Republicans vote in the Republican primary

  • Democrats vote in the Democrat primary

  • Voters registered as No Party will choose which party's ballot they want when they vote

  • NOTE FOR NO PARTY: The ballot selection carries forward if the race advances to a runoff

Team Cassidy's voter education campaign is focused on making sure voters are informed well ahead of Election Day so no one is caught off guard at the polls.
