BATON ROUGE, LA – This week, U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) scored major endorsements — from State Senate Committee Chair Beth Mizell and the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), a leading national construction trade group.

Senator Mizell, a respected conservative voice representing St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Washington parishes, praised Senator Cassidy’s winning record and his work with President Trump to deliver results for Louisiana.

Senator Mizell served as President Pro Tempore of the Louisiana Senate during her second term. 

She currently chairs the Senate Committee on Commerce, Consumer Protection, and International Affairs, and serves on the Education; Judiciary A; Revenue and Fiscal Affairs; and Insurance (Ex Officio) Committees.

Mizell is also a member of the Joint Legislative Committee on Capital Outlay, Legislative Audit Advisory Council, Joint Select Committee on Louisiana Economic Recovery, and serves as Vice Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Women and Children.
