Senator Cassidy & President Trump Deliver Another Win For American Families

Washington, DC — U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), and President Donald Trump delivered another victory for American families as President Trump signed Senator Cassidy’s SUPPORT Act into law. This legislation renews critical prevention, treatment, and recovery programs that fight addiction, strengthen mental health care, and protect our communities from the damage caused by deadly drugs flooding the country.

First enacted under President Trump in 2018, the SUPPORT Act is now reauthorized to keep lifesaving resources in place and ensure communities are not left defenseless. Senator Cassidy and President Trump have consistently stood together to tackle the fentanyl crisis head-on and hold drug cartels accountable. Earlier this year, President Trump signed Cassidy’s HALT Fentanyl Act, giving law enforcement tougher, permanent tools to take down traffickers and protect American families.
