Baton Rouge, LA - It has now been THREE days since U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) publicly challenged Liberal Julia Letlow to participate in a series of televised debates ahead of Louisiana's May 16 Republican primary. And three days later, Liberal Letlow and her campaign have made ZERO moves to commit to a televised debate.
In case you missed it, on Friday, Senator Cassidy called for three televised debates so Louisiana voters can hear directly from the candidates before casting their ballots.
Louisiana voters deserve the opportunity to hear from the candidates about the issue facing the state, including strengthening the economy, securing the border, lowering costs for families, and protecting Louisiana values in Washington. Despite the public challenge, Liberal Letlow's campaign continues to make excuses rather than committing to face Louisiana voters on a debate stage.
What are they trying to hide? Her liberal record? The hundreds of illegal stock trades she hid?
The Cassidy campaign is working with Louisiana media outlets to coordinate debates and ensure voters across the state have the opportunity to watch. Senator Cassidy will debate as long as Liberal Letlow is on stage.
Three televised debates include:
KTBS - Shreveport
LA Public Broadcasting/Better Louisiana - Statewide
Nexstar - Statewide
